THE MOON IN LIBRA

Libra is ruled by the planet Venus and is an air sign. Air represents the mental body and thus is a yang or masculine polarity. The masculine polarity relates to the mind and reason.

The planet Venus circles the sun every 224.7 days. Venus introduces us to the path of virtue. We are initiated in the night when the moon is in Venus in the virtue of love. Love burns when it is offended and is thus called the fiery trials. The fiery trials burn away the offenses against love such as selfishness, possessiveness, failure to fulfill ones vows of marriage, etc. Venus inspires us to become an heir of the Christ and God’s love. The inheritance cycles from Venus are received as pure love which one may use in selfless, devoted service to God and man.

When the moon is in Libra, it reflects the motive and intent of the ego’s actions in order to free the Divine Self from the karmic record of cause and affect. If the moon is in Libra on a Friday night, a rare initiation is experienced. One is faced with the extent of his love. If highly advanced, they will receive healing and anointing from the saints. If one has an undisciplined personality, they will have access to their undersoul records and awaken with feelings of self-guilt. The undersoul is the container that holds all the debris laden thoughts, deeds or actions created by the lower ego and the subconscious mind that are not in alignment with unconditional love.
